Turkey makes an affirmative final ruling on anti-dumping sunset review of Chinese man-made and synthetic staple fiber yarns and sewing threads

On May 22, 2020, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2020/8 on man-made and synthetic staple fiber yarns and sewing threads originating in China, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam (Turkish: sentetik veya sunidevams?z liflerden iplikler) made a positive final ruling on the anti-dumping sunset review and decided to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on the enterprises involved in the above-mentioned countries. The details are as follows: Chinese enterprise NantongA-ZTextile Co., Ltd. is 0.49 USD/kg, and other Chinese enterprises are US$0.80/kg; Indian companies: US$0.29-0.39/kg; Indonesian companies: US$0.23-0.40/kg; Malaysian companies: 11.26-18.32%; Pakistan companies: 6.62-12.18%; Thai companies: 7.79-20.24%; Vietnam Enterprises are 19.48-26.25%. The Turkish tax codes of the products involved are 55.08, 55.09 (except 5509.52, 5509.61, 5509.91), 55.10 (except 5510.20), 55.11.

On January 11, 2008, Turkey initiated an anti-dumping investigation against man-made and synthetic staple fiber yarns and sewing threads originating in China, Indonesia, and India. On January 12, 2009, Turkey began to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved in China, Indonesia, and India. On January 10, 2014, Turkey initiated the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on the products involved in the above three countries. On April 17, 2015, the Turkish Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 2015/8, making the first anti-dumping sunset review final rulings on the products involved in China, Indonesia, and India.

On October 18, 2012, Turkey initiated an anti-dumping investigation against man-made and synthetic staple fiber yarns and sewing threads originating in Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam. On April 8, 2014, the Turkish Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 2014/2, beginning to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved in Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

On December 31, 2018, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2019/2 to initiate anti-dumping sunset review of man-made and synthetic staple fiber yarns and sewing threads originating in China, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam. File an investigation. On July 6, 2019, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2019/21, revoking the anti-dumping sunset review investigation against Indonesian companies PTElegantTextileIndustry and PTSunriseBumiTextiles.
