China’s retail sales value of consumer goods totaled 3.6258 trillion Yuan in Aug 2022, up 5.4% year on year. Of the total, retail sales of garments, footwear, hats and knitwear scored at 96.35 billion Yuan in Aug, up 5.1% year on year.
During Jan-Aug 2022, the retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 28.2560 trillion Yuan, up 0.5% year on year. Of the total, retail sales of garments, footwear, hats and knitwear scored at 820.64 billion Yuan in Jan-Aug, down 4.4% year on year.
In Aug, the retail sales of garments of enterprises above designated size was 67.72 billion Yuan, up 6% year on year; that in Jan to Aug amounted to 581.41 billion Yuan, down 5.5% year on year.
